FRII worked with the City of Steamboat Springs Colorado to upgrade the structure and technology of their web site to improve the visitor experience, and to ease content management. The existing graphic design was retained, but was re-implemented to meet modern technical standards.
The site content is now 100% maintained by City staff members. Each department or group maintains their own material. FRII Creative provided on-site training both in a group setting for content maintainers, and in a train-the-trainer model for the IT and PIO staff.
FRII Creative also provided custom software development for the site, implementing an email newsletter management system, a council minutes management tool, and several custom user interface tools.
The City also leverages the primary site's code base to power a private intranet site, and an automatically generated training site that allows content administrators to try out new ideas in a controlled setting.
FRII continues to provide installation maintenance and second-tier technical support.
